Oh Hi!

Jessie Wallace is an Award Winning Costume Deisgner based in Dallas, TX.

She served as the resident costumer and Company Manager, as well as a co-founder, of IMPRINT Theatreworks from 2018 - 2022.

In 2018 and 2019 she was awarded the DFW Theatre Critics Award for Outstanding Design or Creative Contribution – Costume Design (for Lizzie and The Revolutionists) and the Column Award for Non-Equity Costume Design (for Lizzie and The Revolutionists).

All About Me

Though a Texas native, Jessie ran away to Indiana for university and that is where she discovered her love of costuming. Jessie graduated in 2011 with her Bachelor of Arts in Music and Theater and she has worked in almost every realm of the theater during and since. The only things she won't touch are sound and lights. She served as the Company Manager for IMPRINT Theatreworks, as well as being one of their Co-Founders and Resident Costumer from 2018 - 2022. Along with her costume desgin duties at IMPRINT she also ran their box office, managed contracts, served as the Artist Liason, and spearheaded the First Impressions Festival. This garnered a love of new works in her and she has continued to work with news works creators in the years since.  After IMPRINT shuttered in December of 2022 she was able to start working all over the metroplex more often and has found some wonderful theatrical homes in the last few years. In 2018 and 2020 she was awarded Outstanding Design or Creative Contribution from the DFW  Theatre Critics’ Forum Awards and Best Costume Design (Non-Equity) at The Column Awards for her work on IMPRINT’s productions of The Revolutionists (2018) and Lizzie (2019). She has costumed shows all over Dallas/Fort Worth and has worked on everything from plays to rock musicals to operas. She lives in Dallas with her wonderful cats and will gladly share photos of them whether or not you ask her.

My Philosophy

As a costume designer, my philosophy is simple: all bodies deserve to be treated with the same respect and care. My goal is to ensure that the actors I work with feel their absolute best in their costumes so that they can give the best performance possible. It is not my place, nor anyone else's, to comment on someone's body. My responsibility is to put clothes on actors that make them feel confident, comfortable, and ready to embody their character.
